Having collaborated with her in the past and watching her children grow up over the years made this journey even more special. Her main goal was a space that gave her a warm, spa-like atmosphere and a welcoming environment for her grown children during their visits.
The vision was to create a haven that felt rejuvenating and inviting, enabling family members and friends to gather and enjoy each other's company. The kitchen, often referred to as the heart of the home, underwent a thoughtful transformation that combined contemporary design with retained character. In collaboration with the client, our team made the decision to keep the existing cabinets, which were in excellent condition, and opted for a restaining process to give them a refreshed look. This aligned with the client’s wishes to minimize waste and preserve the home's charm.
Another focal point was the replacement of the outdated kitchen hood with a sleek, modern design that enhanced the overall aesthetic. This new addition breathed life into the kitchen, creating an elegant blend of function and style.
Modern hardware added a touch of sophistication, bringing cohesion to the kitchen's new look. The result? An inviting and practical space, perfect for gathering with family and friends.
The family room was transformed to reflect modern refinement with a warm, welcoming feel. Existing cabinetry was refinished for a fresher appearance, while wallpaper added character to the built-in bookcases. Extending wallpaper to the ceiling between untouched beams enhanced the warmth and charm of the room.
The stone fireplace was preserved as a cozy focal point while honoring the home's original architecture. Upgraded lighting further accentuated these thoughtful design choices, creating a space that invites comfort and connection.
Adjacent to the family room, a cozy cocktail sitting area offers an intimate atmosphere for relaxation or intimate conversations. Inspired by the homeowner’s stunning geode artwork, the design features color-coordinated pillows and thoughtfully placed lighting that illuminates the artwork, establishing it as the focal point of this inviting nook.
Meanwhile, the formal dining room complements these areas, creating a harmonious flow throughout the home. It is designed with ample seating and provides a setting perfect for family meals and memorable gatherings.

For this client who prioritizes relaxation, we were tasked with turning a dark, confined space into a serene sanctuary for her beloved in-home massages. Creating this space was a rewarding challenge as we faced an unusual ceiling height that created a cave-like feeling. We visually lifted the low ceiling using double wallpaper with complementary patterns to add layering to the room.
The decor was carefully selected to provide both function and a sense of calm. This included a combination of soft textiles and natural elements aligned with the client's taste, enhancing the tranquil ambiance. Layered lighting was essential, combining soft ambient and accent lights to replicate a soothing spa environment. The final result is a warm, inviting space perfectly designed for relaxation.
